Beautiful things & thoughts – Hut19

Pandemic and Putin. Microscopic viruses and an equally tiny man – sinister, tiny organisms that have blighted our world. We cannot control everything in the world but we can respond to it. Covid-19 brought misery to our world and yet at the same time an appreciation of our family and community bonds, connections which bind our world together and were restored at the first opportunity.

The last few years have taught us that there are solutions – remedies that are simple and inextricably linked. Buying fossil fuels from a failed dictator is so utterly unacceptable in our pivoting world. Win, wins are everywhere if we grasp them. We start our quest to save the planet, by building a new green economy, all the whilst depriving funds for a paranoid war-monger.

Hut19 was conceived during Covid-19, a virtual hut where ideas could be shared, a hope that something good could be made of something so tragic. The war followed on the heels of the pandemic and with it, added impetus for the solutions to our global problems. There are too many examples of beauty and progress in our world to be beaten by hopelessness. We believe the answers are already there, and whilst we are often told the opposite, we just need to see opportunities in everything.
